Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and take data protection seriously. Any information you submit via our website or email (info@krav-maga.org.uk) is securely stored by Krav Maga Ltd (trading as The British Academy of Krav Maga) in line with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your data will only be used to handle your enquiry and manage your training or membership. We do not share personal data with third parties without consent unless required by law. Personal data is kept for up to 6 months unless retention is required by law. See www.ico.org.uk for your rights.
Terms & Conditions, Waiver, & Physical Activity Readiness (PAR-Q)
1. About Us
The British Academy of Krav Maga (BAKM) is operated by Krav Maga Ltd, Flat 3, Sol-Y-Aire, East Bracklesham Drive, Bracklesham Bay, Chichester, PO20 8JH.
2. Acceptance of Membership
Membership is offered at our discretion. We may request proof of identity or other information. Providing false details may result in cancellation without refund. Membership begins on the agreed start date.
3. Agreement
By joining BAKM, you agree to follow these terms and our training rules (available on request).
4. Limitation of Liability
We provide training with care and professionalism. However, members accept responsibility for their own actions and safety. BAKM is not responsible for loss, damage, or injury unless caused by negligence or unlawful omission.
5. Physical Health
By joining, you confirm you are fit for exercise and aware of the physical nature of Krav Maga. You must notify us of medical issues prior to training.
6. Membership Types & Fees
Membership options include monthly, annual, and lifetime plans. Your chosen fee covers up to 2 classes per week unless otherwise stated.
7. Payments
Membership fees are payable monthly or annually via recurring card payment. We may adjust pricing with notice. Monthly plans run on 11-month pricing collected over 12 months to cover holiday breaks.
8. Non-Refund Policy
Membership and trial bookings are non‑refundable. If you relocate or cannot attend, you remain responsible for cancelling your membership with 30 days’ notice.
9. Cancelling Membership
Cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice via email. Annual and lifetime memberships are non‑refundable.
10. Late or Failed Payments
Missed payments may incur an admin fee and may result in training suspension.
11. Conduct & Removal
We reserve the right to remove any member whose behaviour is unsafe, abusive, or inappropriate, without refund.
12. Facilities
Class times, venues, and facilities may change. We aim to provide notice where possible.
13. Joining a Course
Course bookings must be made online at www.krav-maga.org.uk.
14. Private Training
Private training bookings begin with an agreed schedule. Payments for private sessions are made directly to your instructor.
15. Fees & VAT
Course fees include VAT where applicable.
16. Group Discounts
Group bookings of 3+ people may receive a 5% discount (not applicable to memberships or private training).
17. Special Requirements
We will accommodate reasonable needs if informed at least 21 days before training.
18. Course Information
Joining instructions are emailed approximately 1 week prior to a course.
19. Course Transfers
Transfers are free with 28+ days’ notice. Within 28 days, a 20% fee applies. Only one transfer permitted per booking.
20. Course Cancellations (By You)
More than 90 days before training: refund minus 20% admin fee. Within 90 days: no refund.
21. Non‑Attendance
Non‑attendance forfeits the fee and no transfer is provided.
22. Course Cancellation (By Us)
If we cancel a course, a new date will be offered. We are not responsible for travel or other costs.
23. Dress Code
Wear comfortable gym clothing and flat‑soled training shoes.

25. Disclaimer on Training Information
Training material and instructor opinions may vary. Seek professional advice before applying self-defence skills outside training environments.
26. Liability Statement
We aim to deliver safe, structured, and professional training. However, Krav Maga is a physical activity and participation is at your own risk. We are not liable for accidents, injuries, or property damage unless caused by negligence. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
27. WAIVER, RISK & MEDICAL DECLARATION
Training may include striking, grappling, breakfalls, pressure points, pad work, drills, controlled contact, and realistic scenarios that may include loud noise, stress‑based training, and simulated aggression. By joining or attending training, you:
• acknowledge the physical nature and risks involved;
• confirm you are voluntarily participating;
• agree to follow instructor safety directions;
• accept responsibility for your own health and wellbeing;
• release BAKM and instructors from claims except where the law prevents it.
28. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY READINESS (PAR‑Q)
Before training, you confirm that you are in suitable health for physical activity; you have disclosed relevant medical conditions, injuries, or limitations; if unsure about suitability, you will seek medical clearance before training; and you will inform us of changes in health status.
29. AGREEMENT TO TERMS, WAIVER & PAR‑Q
By registering, booking, or attending training, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions, including the Waiver, and the PAR‑Q . Digital acceptance or signature constitutes legal agreement.
